1. PURPOSE
To provide guidance to employees engaged in any
supplier related activity concerning
ethical practices
2. SCOPE
This policy applies to all employees.
3. CODE OF ETHICS
- Avoid the intent of unethical or uncompromising
practice in relationships, actions and communications.
- To consider the best interests of his Company
and to demonstrate loyalty to the Employer.
- To use only the Authority granted and to
know and obey the policies and laws governing
the purchasing function and remain alert to
the legal ramifications of purchasing decisions.
- Refrain from any private business or professional
activity that would create a conflict between
personal interests and the interests of the
Employer.
- Refrain from soliciting or accepting money,
donations, loans, credits, or prejudicial discounts,
and the acceptance of gifts, entertainment,
favors, or services from present or potential
suppliers that might influence or appear to
influence purchasing decisions or that might
make the employee obligated to the supplier.
- To buy without prejudice, seeking to obtain
the best value and to promote impartiality in
all phases of the Purchasing Cycle.
- To subscribe to and work for honesty in buying
and selling.
- Promote Positive Supplier Relationships through
prompt and courteous reception as far as conditions
will permit, to all who are on a legitimate
business mission.
- Refrain from reciprocal agreements that restrict
competition.
- Discourage Purchasing's involvement in personnel
purchases that are not business related.
- Handle information of confidential or proprietary
nature to employers and /or suppliers/customers
with due care and proper consideration of ethical
and legal ramifications.
